The Madrid Association of Atheists and Freethinkers people »(Amal) has launched a campaign against the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Spain. The visit is scheduled for August, when the Madrid event will be held the World Catholic Youth Day.

The campaign held under the motto, "Go home, Benedict." Atheists, headed by Luis Vega staged a public protest at the cultural center of the capital «Ateneo de Madrid». The action was attended by writers Marcos Ana and LIDIA Falcone, actor Leo Basi and ... former president of the Spanish Federation of Gays Beatriz Gimeno.
