At the central market in Khorog (the administrative center of Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan), the police raided, resulting in the seized discs with a kind of cartoon.
The authorities believe that this cartoon (his name is not specified) "promoting Christianity" and that selling them without a special permit is impossible.
Total seized about 20 disks. It is known that the cartoon is dedicated to the life of Jesus Christ. Information about authors and producing country, according to the agency, no hard drive. The film is translated into Shughnan language (the language of one of the Pamir peoples).
Authorities claimed that the sale of discs was carried out illegally. On trade in products such content, as stated, should obtain permission of the Committee for Religious Affairs.
In Tajikistan, the majority of the population is Muslim. At the same time in the country, according to the Committee on Religious Affairs, was officially registered about 80 non-Islamic religious groups (which is mainly professed by the different directions of Christianity).
